 EQUIPMENT

Listed below are the most common pieces of equipment  that are typically used by our team during a paranormal investigation:

Digital Camera- An electronic device used to capture and store photographs electronically instead of using photographic film like conventional cameras. Modern compact digital cameras are typically multifunctional, with some devices capable of recording sound and/or video as well as photographs.

35MM Camera- The traditional film camera. Analog cameras capture a still image on 35mm film

Audio Recorder (Digital)- A device that records sound and then stores it electronically.

RT-EVP "Real Time"  Digital Audio Recorder -  This device works the same way as your standard digital audio recorder but with the added feature of listing to your recorded audio in "real time".  This device can be set to specific playback intervals so you can hear if you captured anything during an EVP session live without having to wait to upload and review your audio to see if anything was captured.

H2  Zoom Audio Recorder:   The H2 Zoom records high quality stereo sound and surround sound for crystal clear professional sounding audio.

Audio Recorder (Analog)- This device records sound on an analog tape cassettes  as opposed to digital files.

DVR - A device that records video without videotape to a hard drive-based digital storage medium.

Sony Handycam Camcorder - For smaller locations or in addition to the DVR system, a portable Sony Handycam HDD video recorder can provide  the perfect additional coverage.  There will be times when we will set several of these up during an investigation either on their own or in addition to the DVR system depending on the location and claims of activity.

EMF Meter- EMF stands for Electro Magnetic Field. This is a device that originally was designed for electricians to detect leakage of electricity around electrical outlets and/or electrical panels. It is believed that if an entity or spirit enery is present, it will give off an electromagnetic field which can be detected with this meter. There are many kinds of EMF meters ranging from your basic KII meter,  the Mel series of meters,  etc

Tri-Field Meter-a meter which combines magnetic, electric and radio/microwave detectors in one handheld, compact, portable, time saving, easy to use instrument, allowing fast & accurate coverage of the entire nonionizing electromagnetic spectrum.

Flashlight-
The most essential tool for night time investigations.  There are your basic regular flashlights and there are flashlights that have the IR (red light) which help cut down with light interference when filming so you don't get the white glow the traditional flashlight causes.

IR Camera- A device that forms an image using infrared radiation, similar to a common camera that forms an image using visible light.

Infrared (IR) Thermometer (w/probe)- Measure temperature using blackbody radiation (generally infrared) emitted from objects. They are sometimes called laser thermometers.  A laser is used to help aim the thermometer, or non-contact thermometers to describe the device’s ability to measure temperature from a distance. By knowing the amount of infrared energy emitted by the object and its emissivity, the object's temperature can be determined. This device only detects temperature on solid objects. To get an air reading, you must have a thermometer with a probe.

Thermal Imager-  This device forms an image using infrared radiation, similar to a common camera that forms an image using visible light.

E-Field Pod - This device helps the investigator make an informed decision based on EMF and Electro-Static evidence collected during an investigation. When you are performing your investigation, team members will often refer to the “hair” standing up on their arms or the back of their neck. This added feature can help to detect this invisible E-field that causes this condition. When using this device, you want to look for any unusual behavior, fluctuation or pattern with the light turning ON to OFF or OFF to ON. Especially if it happens more than once.

P-SB7 Spirit Box  - This device utilizes a milli-second adjustable Forward or Reverse frequency "sweep" technique coupled with a proprietary high frequency synthetic noise or "white noise" distributed between frequency steps. The newest model now offers an enhanced FM frequency sweep which includes an additional 119 new frequencies from 76MHz to 87.9MHz.  Voice communication can be achieved during the frequency sweep with answers to questions.

Illuminators - IR/Full Specturm/UV help provide adequate lighting conditions to record video images with your DVR and camcorders while in darkness.
